Basic Accountabilities: Employee will spend five weeks in the Interior Space Design function and five weeks in Facilities Projects applying interior design and construction principles.
Primary Functions - Interior Space Design:
  • Design concepts for small and large-scale office reconfiguration and expansion projects based off customer requirements and facility standards.
  • Furniture and office equipment specifications finish specifications, lighting, power, voice, and data cabling, and furniture installation.
  • Space utilization in the corporate.
Primary Functions - Facilities Projects:
  • Customer engagement, project scope development, and project initiation associated with the startup of a facility.
  • Project oversight of design and construction activities.
  • Understanding the aspects of projects costs, scheduling, resource usage, and safety
  • Team interaction with process engineers and planners involved in the coordination of project activities.
  • Participating in and supporting the use of Corporate Project Management Guidelines and other best practices in the execution of projects.
Leadership Criteria:
Well developed interpersonal skills are necessary as this job requires frequent interface with all levels of employees.

Qualifications

Basic:
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Junior year of Family & Consumer Science - Interior Design or similar curriculum
  • AutoCAD Architecture 2008
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Word, and Excel
  • Candidate must be employed a minimum of 10 weeks to qualify for ConocoPhillips summer intern program
Preferred:
  • Construction Management or Industrial Technology emphasis
  • Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and people management skills
  • Open and receptive to influences and diversity of thought
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
