Manager, Acquisition Marketing

POSITION SUMMARY

The Acquisition Marketing Manager is responsible for providing dedicated marketing support to select RIM partners (carriers) in Indonesia as it specifically relates to the BlackBerry Enterprise Solution and the BlackBerry Internet Solution and the carrier channels that market these offers.

Working under the leadership of the Director of Marketing, Carriers and other RIM internal teams, the Acquisition Marketing Manager will work to develop and manage the successful launch of the BlackBerry solution into appropriate carrier channels.

In addition, the Acquisition Marketing Manager will be responsible for working with the carriers and other RIM internal teams to develop and execute "In Life" marketing programmes for the BlackBerry solutions to successfully drive the sell through of the products and services.

He or she will also manage and facilitate the communication of existing and new global marketing initiatives and programmes to the carrier partners. They will also serve as a conduit for the collection of relevant data and feedback from the carriers for product planning purposes.

The successful candidate will provide the marketing support required to meet and/or exceed quarterly net activations targets for the respective carriers and successfully manage a discretionary marketing budget.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

  • Driving carrier marketing planning and execution to deliver an annual calendar of agreed acquisition marketing programmes in line with set business objectives (including geographic growth plans)
  • Develop joint acquisition marketing plans with carrier which clearly articulate; target audience, creative execution, timing, offer, supporting business objective, programme fulfilment, and projected ROI based on identified metrics.
  • Creating and executing compelling segment and geographical, community focused and seasonal marketing campaigns with Carrier partners to reach more of and to increase our total addressable market
  • Working with the internal sales team to ensure that marketing programmes are directly aimed at fulfilling the needs of the business and are focused on demand/revenue generation
  • Partnering with the RIM distribution and retail teams to ensure that both are leveraging carriers for the service component of their marketing programmes
  • Aligning with the Regional marketing team to communicate the overarching BlackBerry value proposition alongside channel and consumer offerings
  • Co-ordinate and seek input from internal RIM functional teams where required within the proposed carrier partner marketing activity e.g. PR, Digital
  • Working with local and Global brand teams for brand/product/marketing strategy alignment, and for legal/brand approvals.
  • Directing and guiding the marketing message, promotion, and pricing strategy of each of our products with the carrier as required.
  • Managing our marketing agency partners to ensure that they are delivering exceptional, localized output in a manner and timeframe that meets our requirements
  • Liaising with the market intelligence and research teams to ensure that joint acquisition programmes are made based upon sound marketing research data
  • Engaging with the alliances and accessories teams to integrate key value added services/offerings into Carrier partner marketing programmes in order to enhance the BlackBerry user experience for targeted groups
  • Closely tracking and monitoring the direct impact of marketing expenditures in order to establish an ongoing ROI analysis process

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 8 - 10years marketing experience.
  • Business/Marketing related degree is a requirement.
  • Partner marketing or channel management experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Budget Management experience
  • Ability to demonstrate creativity and initiative.
  • Flexible
  • Self-starter and team player.
  • Previous experience with either a Wireless Carrier or Handheld manufacturer preferred.
  • Must be fluent in Bahasa.
