SQL Development DBA

Minimum Requirements:

-Knowledge of UNIX and Windows operating systems, network infrastructure, SAN storage architecture, software development life cycle methodologies, and Oracle database technologies. -Experience across a broad range of technologies combined with in-depth expertise in the following areas: data modeling process and best practices, enterprise data models, XML and technologies, metadata integration technologies, and business intelligence tools and methodologies. -Hands-on experience in managing and tuning very large (multi-TB) database systems (transactional databases, data warehouses, etc.). -Ability in developing and leveraging sound/innovative database solutions to achieve project and organizational goals. -Proficient in designing, developing, and implementing Oracle database solutions and providing quality data services with demonstrated record of solid achievements. -Highly skilled in database problem identifications, preventions, and resolutions.
-Excellence in oral/written communications, interpersonal relations, and team cooperation with high personal integrity, credibility, energy, and impeccable work ethic. -Effective time management, priority determinations, task planning and organizational skills. -Detail-oriented and solution-focus with total commitment to team success, excellence, and quality assurance.

Education:

Bachelor degree in technology discipline such as Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

-Minimum of 8 to 10 years Oracle database development/

administration experience with specific hands-on practices in the following areas:

?Oracle RDBMS releases 9i and 10g on UNIX and Windows platforms ?Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) ?Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) ?Oracle Name Server and Internet Directory (OID) ?Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Transparent Application Failover (TAF) ?Oracle Data Guard for physical and logical standby databases ?Oracle Partitioning technologies ?Oracle Flashback technologies -Proven ability in managing Oracle databases of TB in sizes (with large database objects such as CLOB, BLOB) supporting 2000+ concurrent users. -Experience with data modeling/database design tools such as CA Erwin, Embarcadero ER/Studio, Oracle Designer, etc. -Proficiency with SQL*Loader, SQL, PL/SQL, UNIX Korn Shell, and Perl programming. -Proficiency with Oracle database diagnoses, SQL tuning, and performance optimization. -Proficiency with database productivity tools such as Quest TOAD and Quest Central for Oracle. -Proficiency with desktop productivity tools such as
Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Certificates/ Licenses:

Oracle Certified Professional (Oracle 9i, 10g DBA) is preferred but not required. EEO/AA Employer
