Job & Responsibilities :
- To develop and use solution design process documentation that defines in detail the solution design steps, documentation and systems used in the solution design function.
- To lead requirements gathering for solution design inputs and prepare technical architectural and implementation design documents and works with the project management to develop the implementation plan including bill of quantities, cost plans, project deliverables and schedules.
- To formulate managed service solutions testing and commissioning plans and support the delivery and integration of managed service solutions into the customer’s environment.
- To manage the commissioning and acceptance testing of managed service solutions required for hand over to customers.
- To provide, “As Built” solution design records for ongoing service management of solution performance and Moves, Adds & Changes.
- To develop intimate knowledge of customer’s networks and services to support troubleshooting and resolution of assurance incidents with customers and L1 to L4 support.
- To maintain awareness of existing or potential customer software/hardware/system environments and proactively alerts project management and sales team of potential problems and solutions.
- To provide expert solution design support for new and existing product development and for pre-sales solution design support for the development of customer solutions.
- To perform technical quality assurance reviews on solution designs and to adheres to agreed solution design escalation and change control procedures.
- To prepare, maintain and submit activity/progress reports and time recording/management reports in accordance with published procedures.
- To ensure the solution design function aligns with ITIL standards and methodology framework and all accreditation requirements for the solution design function are met and maintained.
- To stay current on technical specifications for hardware/software requirements of managed services and industry products through professional associations, trade journals, networking, and associated training and seminars
- +2 years experience in ICT and Managed Services Business Environment or equivalent.
- University degree or equivalent in IT and/or Electrical Engineering
- Desirably possess valid network or application management accreditation.
- Strong Leadership Skills and technical aptitude.
- Ability to show initiative in solving problems and drive to succeed.
- Excellent team player and possess dynamic, positive attitude.
- Ability to develop and implement strategy and willingness to get involved and take responsibility for all elements required to bring a positive outcome for the company.
- Strong commercial acumen and numeracy.
