In more practical terms the work consists of:
• checking parameter values prior to acceptance (e.g. neighbor relations well defined)
• check site integration drive-test for several criteria: quality KPI’s (e.g. handovers working well, data throughput, dropped calls, etc.), coverage achieved, correct antenna placement (detect crossed sectors)
• participate in discussions with subcontractors to facilitate acceptance progress
• Assure a perfect reflection of the access network configuration in the design databases.
The RF engineer “site acceptance” is responsible for making sure the sites/bands/technologies are added to the network in such a way that:
• The quality of the existing network 2G/3G/4G is not impacted in a negative way.
• The newly added parts are well integrated and meet the same performance quality standards as the existing network.
