For one of our customers we are recruiting for a 2G RAN Design Engineer. We will get back to you on short terms to inform you if your profile suits this vacancy and if you will be invited for an interview.

Tasks and responsibilities

* Daily capacity management of BSC load;
* Produce High Level & Low Level designs or contribute to cross domain designs
* As a designer, participate in and contribute to RAN Soft- and Hardware upgrade projects (implement and / or verification of new software releases);
* Contribute and deliver feature introductions and parameter changes in the 2G RAN;
* As a designer participate in and contribute to Pilot of Trial projects;
* As a designer, provide support to the roll-out process of SDU Network Deployment;

Job requirements 2G RAN Designer

* BSS feature optimisation
* BSS feature implementation
* Up-to-date knowledge with Ericsson BSS (G11 required)
* In-dept knowledge of performance reporting and analysis (BO and ENIQ included)

Nice to have requirements:

* Useable level of E/// BSC HW knowledge
* Minimum level of E/// BSC SW support

Other requirements:

* Master / Bachelor degree (technical / telecommunications)
* Strong experience and understanding of 2G SW Features, their parameters, and the corresponding RAN Optimizations possible on network level
* Preferably several years of work experience with Operators network planning department
* Broad Telecoms, IT and Technology experience
* Broad overview of GSM / UMTS Access, Core and Transport (Transmission, IP) technologies
* Advanced understanding of Wireless Network architecture, Technologies, concepts and standards (e.g. 3GPP, ITU-T)
* At least 6 years of relevant experience working experience (at least 4 years in branch)
* Independent, but also team player
* Problem solver and coach for other problems solvers
* Responsible, service minded, flexible, talking initiatives
* Good communication skills both in English and preferably Dutch
* Organized and disciplined
* Understand the interest of internal and external customers

Responsibilities:

• To perform development of applications, which include coding, database planning, documentation, system integration, testing and implementation
• Collaborate closely with team members in projects throughout the entire software development life cycle

• Support on existing application along with enhancements of application
• Preparing simple reports and related documents

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• Min 3 years working experience as JAVA programmers, involving managing application design, software development, maintenance and delivery.
• Strong passion for programming, strong analytical skills and functional understanding.
• Must have pass experience of software development using JAVA.

• Strong experience with Web Architecture and Web Application development tools, eg. Java Servlets, JavaBeans/EJBs, JavaScript, XML, and HTML.
