SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER (SME)
based in Kalimantan, Indonesia
Role and Responsibilities:
This role will require you to supervise, mentor and coordinate internal and external workshop resources as necessary. This will include assisting the Project Manager on the projects, as well as managing mechanical teams independently. Reporting to Project Director, you will assist in the coordination along with managing the mechanical engineering tasks, maintenance planning and execution of works in accordance with mining budgeting plans and meeting project timelines and in line with company’s health and safety procedures.
In return for your expertise and technical leadership, you will be offered and attractive salary, great working conditions and a flexible roster off arrangement (60 working days, 13 days off per home leave and 5 home trips per year).

The main responsibilities of Senior Mechanical Engineer include but not limited to:
- Maintain compliance with legislative and environmental requirements to all works undertaken
- To make sure that all completed works are done utilizing risk assessments
- To analyze and advice on effectively machineries deployment
- To monitor and improve mechanics and units KPI
- Ensure the maintenance of all heavy machineries and equipment’s reparations
- Ensure spare parts usages and consumables are within wear and tear budget
- Ad-hoc duties as assigned by Superior.
Requirements:
- Male with max. age of 40 years old
- Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or equivalent.
- At least 10 year(s) of working experience in huge earthworks / civil / mining projects
- Have extensive experience in heavy machineries (earthworks) repair works and capability in monitoring direct staff and subcontractors
- Strong knowledge of equipment’s maintenance (Crusher, Conveyor, Operational Vehicles, Heavy Equipment)
- Able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel in an organization
- Proficient in English and good working knowledge of Bahasa is an added advantage
- Good knowledge and hands on computer literacy (Ms. Office, Auto Cad, etc) and plants or equipment maintenance software.
- Strong quantitative and numeric skills, cost planning, cost estimating and analysis
- Excellent leadership, team player, interpersonal and project management skills.
