Oilfield Equipment and Service Providers
Many oil and gas service and equipment companies, including Schlumberger, Halliburton, Baker Hughes and Weatherford, the four largest oilfield-services providers in the world, have a large footprint in Singapore. Other giants such as GE Oil & Gas, FMC Technologies and Aibel have also made Singapore their home to deliver solutions for both onshore and offshore projects, from drilling and production, to LNG, pipelines and power generation.
Marine
Singapore also global leadership in the business of jack-up oil rigs, semi-submersibles and Floating Production Storage Offloading (FPSO) vessel conversion. Keppel Offshore & Marine and SembCorp Marine are the world leaders in these aspects.
Singapore is the first Asian country to ratify the International Labour Organisation's (ILO) Maritime Labour Convention. This Convention sets out the minimum standards and fair working conditions for seafarers worldwide, and has been ratified by 12 other ILO member states. The ratification signals the Singapore’s commitment to enhancing the well-being of seafarers.
Petrochemicals
Leveraging Singapore's world-class infrastructure and excellent global connectivity, global companies such as Chevron, ExxonMobil, and Shell have established significant presence here. ExxonMobil's newly-built petrochemical complex is its largest integrated chemical and refining site to date.
Process Industry & Logistics
To support the Oil and Gas industry's breakneck growth, professional services provider WorleyParsons has established its regional headquarters-cum-engineering centre in Singapore. Emerson Process Management has centralised its procurement and distribution activities for control centres here. Vopak's regional headquarters provides tank storage, regional distribution and other critical services from its four local petrochemical terminals.
